There are so many newsletters out there asking for you to subscribe to them. Why should you subscribe to this one? I’ll give you ten good reasons…
#1. It’s free!
And as the philosopher Confucius once said: “Free is pretty darn good.” (Note: I may be confusing Confucius with a guy I met at a garage sale one time.)
#2. It’s weekly
No worries about being inundated with daily emails from me. Once a week I’ll send out a summary of all that’s happened, and anything of note on the horizon. If there’s something else I need to say, I’ll occasionally send out an additional email. But in a typical week, you’ll receive one email from me.
#3. I’ll never spam you
I know everyone says they don’t spam, but I mean it. I hate the stuff. I hate email spam worse than I hate the quasi-meat spam. And have you ever tasted quasi-meat spam? The stuff is disgusting.
#4. I once met Gwyneth Paltrow
Brad Pitt was there, too, but Gwyneth is the one to note. Why? Because when I met her I resisted the urge to boo her. Do you realize the will power and self control it takes to?not?boo Gwyneth Paltrow? You should subscribe to my newsletter if for no other reason than to see what other feats of strength I might do.
#5. It’s by far the easiest way to stay up to date with my content
Since it launched in May 2014, this site has grown incredibly fast. This trend will continue. Being an email subscriber ensures you don’t miss out on any of the fun.
#6. It’s a summary of the most relevant content
Rather than email you every time I do anything, I only highlight the big picture. This will help you get straight to the most relevant info to you.
#7. It’s written in a friendly, conversational tone
My newsletter is like receiving an email from your best friend. Except I don’t ask you for money.
You know, unless I?write an eBook or something one day. In which case my newsletter is exactly like receiving an email from your best friend.
#8. Receive exclusive content
Occasionally, as a reward for subscribing, I’ll include a great tip or tutorial in the newsletter that won’t be shared on the blog (or, won’t be shared for quite some time). This could be a freelance writing job posting I find online and want to share, it could an original article, or it could be an interview transcript for an influential blogger.
#9. Barely any typos
At least 90% of the words I type will be spelled correctly. That is my guarantee.
#10. You’ll get my 12-week series of super duper blog tips
One week after subscribing, you’ll receive one of my 12 favorite blog tips. A week later, you’ll receive another. The next week, another. In other words, for subscribing I just don’t send you one long eBook that, let’s be honest, you’ll probably never completely read. Instead I’ll send you 12 easy-to-digest, funny, educational blog tips spread over a 3-month period. And these just aren’t any blog tips. They’re my favorite blog tips after nine years of blogging!
In all seriousness, you should subscribe to the newsletter because it will provide clear, straightforward content in an entertaining way. If you’re a beginner blogger, you’ll learn lots. If you’re a veteran, you’ll learn lots. And if you’re a professional blogger, you’ll learn a little something, too.
Plus, did I mention it’s free?
